Downloading freely is really easy: 1. A code appears. 2. Write it in the empty field. 3. Click the button (or press enter). 4. Wait for the countdown to reach zero. 5. An advertisement box might appear, close it by pressing the X in the upper right corner of the box. 6. The download loads (and opens a popup ad).
In case your computer tries to use a premium account every time, and it's expired etc., just clean your cookies. It should work better after that.
