I know they shared members (Carnage also shared Liiva and Amott with Arch Enemy), but I thought Dismember actually *predated* Carnage… From what I understand, the Carnage demos date from 1989, but Dismember's self-titled demo dates from 1988. I dunno, I could be wrong, or maybe Carnage was around for longer, but just didn't record any demos until '89… any idea what the real story is?
I have the actual CD, the liner notes where written by Mike Amott, no mention of you came first though, although BOTH bands were active in 1988. Its like the chicken or the egg question.....either way this was the birth of Swedish Death metal and the famous Stockholm sound. A ****ing classic.

A must to have! Amott must reform this Godly band! Luckily I've the Lp and Cd with me. Someone still owned their demo?
